Local Food Stop is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program serving Alpharetta, Roswell, Johns Creek and Buford, Georgia.
How does it work?
Based on seasonal availability, we choose 2-4 varieties of fruits and 5-8 varieties of vegetables to create your CSA bag. Our food comes from local & regional farms, and sometimes farms outside of the southeast, but it is always USA-Grown and it is always Certified Organic or Certified Naturally Grown.
Our new menu is updated on the website every weekend for the following week's deliveries. We encourage our CSA members to 'eat with the seasons' and experiment with more uncommon foods, but we will accommodate tastes and allergies with substitutions. For example, if you don't like plums but you love oranges, we will eliminate the plums from the bag and give you extra oranges. As an incentive to go beyond your 'cooking comfort zone' we offer easy coordinating recipes with each week's produce bag.
How does the program save time, gas & money?
You would need to travel to 3 or more stores (and a farmer's market) to find the selection of organic produce we offer in our weekly CSA bags - and on average, you would pay up to 20-25% more elsewhere. To save on time, your produce is bundled and ready for pickup at a convenient neighborhood host site. Our program saves on gas too if you can inspire a few friends or neighbors to join the program and share in the weekly pickup.
